Claire Kiriakis was concieved onscreen in February 2005. Though her parents have no memory of ever doing it. When Claire
was born on September 27, 2005, it was believed the Philip Kiriakis was her father. Her mother, Belle, suffered from Post-Pardum
Depression and just as she was getting over it, baby Claire became sick for an unknown reason. Eventually her liver failed
and she was given last rites. However, in a twisted fate, Zack Brady, Claire's biological uncle, died after being the victim
of a hit-and-run on New Year's Eve and Claire recieved his liver when he died. When Claire was a year old, the truth about
her paternity finally came out. Philip soon took off, leaving Belle to raise Claire on her own because Belle was refusing
to let Shawn come near Claire until he straigtened out his life. Just as Shawn was getting it correct, Philip returned and
demanded custody of little Claire and after he was awarded temporary custody, Shawn and Belle kidnapped their daughter and
soon left the country with the help of Max, Mimi, Steve, Chelsea and Nick. After Shawn, Belle, and Claire left Canada on a
cruise-ship bound for Australia, Philip turned up on the boat and demanded that they give him Claire. They refused and soon
jumped overboard into a little rubber raft. Shawn, Belle, and Claire landed on a deserted island but little after they got
there, Belle realized that Claire had blood poisoning from the cut on her finger. Shawn built a raft and they headed off into
a storm, not knowing what to expect. They landed on a little island called Tinda Lao, which had inhabitants—and a doctor.
The doctor gave Claire the medicine she needed. Shawn, Belle, and Claire stayed somewhat happily on Tinda Lao for some time
but Philip soon found them and once again demanded that they give him Claire. When they refused, Duck—owner of the local
bar—shot Shawn and Philip took Claire and Belle leaving Shawn to chase after them. Philip soon took Claire and Belle
onto a sailboat. Shawn, greeted by his father later on that night, took a plane and jumped out of the plane, landing in the
water near the boat—in the middle of a level 4 Typhoon. He climbed aboard the boat and was greeted face to face with
Philip. When their lives depended on it, Philip, Belle, and Shawn reconciled their differences—for the sake of Claire.
But after their boat went under, Philip, Belle, and Shawn were rescued but Claire was nowhere to be found. Belle continued
to believe that Claire was alive and out there. And soon Philip and Shawn believed so too after finding her life jacket cut
with a knife. The coast guard relisted Claire as missing and continued to search for her. Belle, Shawn, and Philip followed
any leads they had, soon tracing Claire to a baby beauty pageant. They saw that there was a pageant being held in Chicago
that day and headed on over. They were too late but soon got help in finding her. Claire was listed as a boy named Jeffrey
Gray and was dressed as a fireman. The woman claiming to be Jeffrey's mother came back after being called by Belle that Jeffrey
had won money. Belle heard Claire's cry and Philip and Shawn went looking for Claire. Claire soon wandered into the room saying
"Mama." Belle was ecstatic to see her daughter alive and well. Beverly, the woman who kidnapped Claire, was arrested. Claire
is now and finally enjoying the life of being a toddler which includes going to an exotic preschool. Claire was portrayed
by Ava & Olivia White from the time Claire was taken off life-support on January 27th 2006 til December 26th 2007. Claire
has been aged to four years old and is portrayed by Alina Foley as of January 3rd 2008.
